—_ THE” CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT CORAM, C ¢ U N C | TO: B. Kirk, , January 6, 1983 JAN 17 1983 - City Administrator FROM: F.E. Peters.; P. Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: Development of a Maintenance Management System RECOMMENDATION: G@ilable for maintenance work within’ the City. The development of this system will require the allocation of one man for a period of six to nine months plus a- great deal of input from other employees such as Foremen and Superintendents. I recognize that the time allowed for the Purpose of developing this system does not seem like very much but I am counting on being able to take a number of short cuts by calling on cities which already are using such a system. The cost of one man For six to nine months would be in the order of $17,000 to $25,000. This amount is already included in the Provisional Budget and, since it does not involve hiring new staff, is consistent with the expenditure levels in previous years. F the system will be such that it can without any speci being created. i i t i] i | ! { 1 i 7 j i 1 t bs, FEP/sqq F.E. Peters., P. Ende, / Attachment City Engineer R32
