ClayLines Delta Potters Association Tsaw' Waaer Delta Potters Association hosted a woaderful workshop to start the year off ight in the South Delta Recreation Centre. Keith Rice- Jones gave 22 members of our group a two day blitz on dic mak- ing for our new 6” barrel ex- truder, Keith demonstrated his masterful techniques for making dics of all types including frames, boxes, platters, tureens, and bak- ers. After the demonstrations and slide show of his work, Keith proceeded to give instructions on how to visualize designing adie forthe extruder, Bach participant received MDF (medium density fibreboard) pieces for making their own personal dies. MDF proved to be easy to cat with a coping saw and Dremel tool. At the end of the twodays, everyone mide at least one die and gained comfort and experience using the equipment, We have already seen some exceptional results com- ing through the workshop. They will also be asking artists who are: members of CAN of practicing members of the art community in Nanaimo to donate soup bow|(s), The soup bowls will be sold auctioned off with soup in them.
