‘Your Worship and Aldermen:

We refer to the application made by Mr. Peter Southward of Whitehall
Service, the dealer of the retail gasoline service station at the
subject location, for a change in the status of his business license
to permit the conversicn of this unit to a self-serve operation.

We wish to advise that as the owner of this property we endorse the
application. Moreover, we are prepared to undertake the required
investment in new pumping and control facilities at this station to
achieve this change.

For your information, it is intended the existing service bays will
remain in operation after the conversion for the convenience of
Mr. Southward's customers.

Mr, Southward and myself would be pleased to appear before Council
for the purpose of answering any questions which may arise in
connection with this proposed conversion.
