Ai 1 1776 Warwick Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.c. April 13th., 1978. The Vayor & Aldermen of Council The City of Tort Coquitlam, B.c. Attn: Vr. Freeman, City Clerk -1929 BROWN STREET LOT 4, PLAN 22313 YOUR HONOUR "AYOR JACK CAMPEELL AND COUNCIL ~@BERS: I submit this letter as the first step in protesting the act of the REZOMING of the above stated property, with the intent to allow the establishment of a NEIGHBOURHOOD PUB . I protest the indication by council that “Yalong with the pub there would be certain other compatible uses of the property at 1929 Brown." There is a strong feeling among neighbours that council members would be given a "blank cheque" to impose any undesirable type of business on our doorstep. ; _ My husband & I are the original owners of this property at 1776 Warwick St., heaving purchased it from the developer of this sub- @ivision in July 1967.: ; This area was at that time a residential subdiviaion developed from farmland. We were ona nice, quiet, dead end strect but are now appalled at council's decision to alter the land use of the fringe of the residential properties. You have mixed Light industry with residential & now you want to rezone part of it again to commercial, in the midst of industry, which will impose a greater problem for the local homeowners. We are frequently being subjected to regulations that are not . imposed on homeowners of other subdivisions & yet our taxcs reflect that we are first class citizens. Yhere is the justice? As a worrally concerned citizen for over a decade, I appeal to your conscience to carefully consider the repercussion of this change.
