Alderman Mabbett pointed out that the City is retaining four 33' lots on Toronto Street for a future Fire Hall site, and Alderman Traboulay stated he would like to see some of this money go towards that project. From the Land Sale Committee, September 6th, 1974, advising that the owner of Land Sale Comm. re @ tana at 2365 Kitchener Street has made application to subdivide his property pre~ City land- sently zoned RS-1 (One~Family Residential) into residential lots, and in order to to City pax conform with the City's requirements in the subdivision, a road allowance is be- ing requested on this property to connect Scott Street to Patricia Avenue. The Committee, in its report, stated that in order to accommodate this road dedica- tion a small piece of City-owned property would be required by the applicant to provide for a road allowance, consisting of a piece of land 50' by 66', which is presently an extension of Patricia Avenue leading into the City-owned park, and which has a value of approximately $2,500.00. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Mr. Hugh McDonald, the applic- ant and owner of the property at 2365 Kitchener Street, was in attendance and pointed out that lis property was presently in a "locked in" situation, and that the only way access can be provided is by acquiring the City-owned land in ques- tion. Alderman Thompson commented that Mr. McDonald would be getting better than 3,000 square feet of land for $2,500.00; however, Alderman Laking pointed out that this gives the City a roadway and access into the parkland at the same time.
