The above-noted By-law was the subject of a Public Hearing held earlier this
evening (Monday, October 20th) and the Developer, Mr. George Horner, has
requested that we ask the Council if they would be prepared toa give third | :
reading to the By-law at this time. ‘ :

Giving third reading to a By-law on the same day on which the Public Hearing :
es = ; was held is not the customary procedure, but it is not a particularly unusual :

While Developers always realize that the By-law is not effective until it has
been given final reading, they usually take the third reading as being an
indication that final approval will eventually be forthcoming.
