To: Mayor & Aldermen April 26th, 1973 construct a 40 foot structure on the existing vacant parcel of B.C. Tel property which is next to the Library and at a future date they would tear down and re- construct to three stories their existing telephone building. The Committee could not arrive at a recommendation as there was a sufficient difference of opinion on the permitting of this type of use in the downtown area. It was better felt that discussion among the Council to obtain their feelings on this proposal prior to caking it back to the Committee for a full discussion and a recommendation to Council in the following weeks. If Council agrees to the concept of an industrail use in the Commercial area, B.C. Tel would be requested to present renderings of the proposed structures. ;
