From the Public Works Committee, December 3rd, 1974, submitting a new FastBuUs services letter received from the Bureau of Transit Services, November 25th, 1974 advising that it is planned to institute two more regional FastBUS trunk services; namely, the 800: Midway Connector FastBUS and the 820: Canada Way FastBUS, and that the service will begin by the end of the year. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the letter from the Bureau of Transit Services, November 25th, 1974 advising that it is planned to institute two more regional FastBUS trunk services by the end of the year; namely, the 800: Midway Ccennector FastBUS and the 820: Canada Way FastBUS, be received and accepted by this Council. Carried. Pub.Wks.Comn. From the Public Works Committee, December 3rd, 1974, advising that re new Works Yard the previous work down to establish a new works yard as well as new aspects of the problem have been reviewed and will be submitted to the 1975 Public Works Committee for further consideration. The report was received for information. Health Comm.re From the Health Committee, December 3rd, 1974 advising that the PoCo House Provincial funding of PoCo House is continuing; however, it is now subject to a quarterly review by the Drug and Alcohol Commission and that one of the requirements of the Commission has been that a management committee be established to oversee the operation of PoCo House. The Committee submitted with its report a summary report on PoCo House and advised that a further detailed report will be prepared in January to summarize the year's activities. in speaking to the report, Alderman Traboulay advised that the management committee will consist of representatives of the Health Committee, Schools, R.C.M.P., Probation Office, Recreation Department, and Human Resources and that it would meet once per month. Alderman Traboulay commented that more interest in PoCo House by Community groups is evident, and stated his view that the City should give serious consideration to its continued support. Alderman Mabbett stated he did not see anything in the summary report as to the number of persons who received assistance and Mayor Campbell stated he felt that an operation such as the PoCo House should be a federai and Provincial responsibility.
