Mayor and Council DATE: September 19, 1974 Building and Protection Committee RE: Outside Open Burning The Committee discussed a letter from Chief Wingrove to Alderman Mabbett and have concurred with the Fire Chief's recommendation and present them to Council thus: ‘As “As Mr. Pollock has stated the City is not responsible to supply an alternative ~. ££ the Council was to amend the Fire By~law to stop all outdoor burning proposed ‘to be put into effect January 1, 1975. That the current provision for two 1 week periods per year for residential burning coinciding with clean up weeks be retained. That no smokeless burners be allowed to operate in the City of Port Coquitlam unless it is set up permanently and to the satisfaction of this Committee. That Council contact the District of Coquitlam Council to ask if they will consider imposing the same regulations under their Fire By~law to be instituted by January 1, 1975. ,
