Fair*** (July L8 - 20, 1997). This will be
held at the stte of the Blue Grass Festival ar
Coombs Rodeo & Fair Grounds, which has
now become available. Because we know
the fair will be successful, we've booked che
third weekend in July for subsequenc years,

ensuring che comanurty of times and dates
for chis offers. Our intention is to offer o
juried, quality, reasonably priced, money
making summer crolt fair of not more
than 80 - 85 participants, Coombs is one
of che heaviest course draws en
Vancouver Island. Every person on their
way to the West Coast passes by che fair
site. Background wise, we have owned
and managed the Heritage Poctery
Business, and worked in the real estore
and travel business.

All work will be juried from five clear
photographs of your work. Fees are $275
fora 10x 10 outside booth, $550 fora 10
x 20 outside booch, and $300 for and
inside 2 x LO booth. There is a maximum

Workshops

Jeff Oestreich will be ac Mount Hood
Community College, Gresham Oregon for
a workshop and slide show Jan, 17-18,
(997. The workshop will accompany
“The Flounshing Tradirion: One
Mencos, (2 Paths", an exhibation
featuring the work of potters who studied
with Warren NacKenzie. Jeffhas been a
studio potter for 25 years, he studied with
Remard Leach and MacKenzie. He will
throw, assemble and dise uss aesthetics.
He may even be able to give the definitive
answer to “what makes a good pot!"!
