Background The three intersections, Coast Meridian at Robertson, Prairie at Toronto and Wilson at Mary Hill are 1994 Capital projects, to be designed and constructed this year. The City invited proposals from two Consulting firms to perform the design, tendering, contract administration and inspection of these three traffic signal projects. Proposals were received from Delcan Corporation and Shaflik Engineering; both companies having in-house expertise in traffic signal design and construction. The two bids were comparatively equal in all areas of the evaluation. Therefore, we used the total estimated fees and disbursements to recommend Shaflik Engineering at their estimated fee of $9,759.50 + GST, for the work. Delcan's estimated fee was $15,920.00 + GST.
