pat remo E THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM / City Administrator November 5, FROM: City Engineer tf SUBJECT: Stop Signs at Various Intersections = Public Committee November 3, 1987 i Recommendation: That stop signs be installed at the following loc Nottingham Place at Citadel Drive Knights Court at Kensington Crescent Kensington Crescent east of Kensington Place Vincent Street north and south of Fraser Avenue Background and Comments: The first three requests are signs paid for by the developer in accordance with our development policy. These roads are now paved and the signs are required to be installed. The stops signs at Vincent Street have been requested from +he Public Works Committee several timese There does not appear to be an accident problem at the intersection as the last year in which any accidents were recorded by the R.C.M.P. was 1985, with two recorded. However, the potential for a serious accident exists. All of the other intersections within close proximity of this one are stop sign controlled. The danger is that a driver approaching this intersection will assume that this one is also controlled and proceed through expecting crossing traffic To stop. For consistency, the Committee recommends that this intersection also be controlled. * FeE. Peters, P. Eng., City Engineer FEP:jth MAIN.F=-Nov/87(9)
