RECOMMENDATION:

1. That the program as outlined by the May Day Committee, be
approved. Program is attached. '

2. That the budget of $20,690.00 for the 1982 May Day be
approved.

3. That the cost of upgrading the float be investigated with
a report back to Council for the February 22nd meeting.

4. That the parade route be approved as presented.

EACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

Presently there is $17,450.00 in the provisional budget for May
Day but Committee saw the need to increase the amount. to
$20,690.00 as presented by the May Day Committee. The May Day
Committee is presently investigating the upgrading of the May
Day Float and they will have a cost forthe upgrading for the
Parks & Recreation Committee before February 22nd, 1982. Please
find attached the proposed 1982 May Day Program, 1982 May Day
Budget, Miss PNE Rules and Regulations, May Day Parade route
and a memorandum from K. Janna Taylor.
