; _ For the second consecutive year the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam in
conjunction with the National Associaticn of Kinsmen are supporting a National
Program ‘marking the anniversary of our Canadian Flag. This program appropriately
named Heritage Day has been placed before the Federal Government.

According to the latest news reports, the Federal Government will shortly
give final reading to a 'sill proclaiming Heritage Day as a National Holiday.

Again this year, the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam. intends to support
the program by providing funds for expanding the Kinsmen Canadiana Section in the
Public Library. In addition, we intend to promote public awareness in our National

Heritage by means of a publicity program. °

The Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam respectfully seeks-city council approval
of the attached proclaimation.
