T0: © Mayor and Council ‘August 29th, 1974 SEP - 9 4974 FROM: Alderman E.W. Mabbett Re: Trucks - Pitt River Road As you are all well aware, a truck route system was approved by Council . a few years ago. The Pitt River Road from the Red Bridge is banned except for local deliveries: the Red Bridge also has a load restriction. It seems to me that our regulations are being ignored, not only by the trucking firms, but also by our enforcement personnel. For example, on the morning of August 28th, 1974, at approximately 7:20~7 330 a.m., four large dump trucks came over the Red Bridge and up Pitt River Road while we were lined up. I would request that a concerted effort be made to put a stop to the flagrant disregard for the local City traffic control by-laws. I would also request another look be taken at the truck signs on this road, as to the suitability of their location. Alderman E.W. Mabbett react ees
