What are your reasons for running for Miss Terrace? The many opportunities it has ‘for self improvement such as public speak- ing, confidence, and poise. How did you become a candidate? I was approached by the Terrace Kinsmen Club and they gave me the opportunity to enter the Miss Terrace Pageant. Win or lose, what do you hope to gain from the process of competing for the title of Miss Terrace? I hope that I will grow as a person and make use of the knowledge gain- ed by the workshops and special events. I know that life long friendships will develop by working with the other contestants. What do you see as your responsibilities if you were chosen as Miss Terrace? To be the best I can be at representing our city, and to build community relations. What would you define as the ‘‘spirit of Terrace’? The working together to make things happen, not to mention the ‘friendii- ness of our people.
