Bill Little has $22,000 invested in his ski hill located at the top‘ of Alwood drive (go up the hill from the Dairy Queen on Lakelse) and the result is a great little hill to either learn how to ski or to work on the ol! parrallel. Admittedly, the Winter Olympics will never be held in Terrace. Little's hill, called Northern Heights Ski, is the size wo l of what they call a beginners slope in the big areas. He has two rope tows with a vertical drop of just under 250 feet. One run takes about fifteen seconds and the slope wouldn't make Billy Kidd scurry for cover, But it’s more than adequate for beginners and people who want to warm up for the bigger mountains on their holidays.
