Eng., Deputy City Engineer SUBJECT: MARY HILL BY-PASS WIDENING RECOMMENDATIONS : 1) That the City of Port Coquitlam advise the Ministry of Transportation and Highways that the City does not agree with the recommendation to make Coast Meridian Road a cul-de-sac North of Mary Hill By-Pass. That the City of Port Coquitlam request the Ministry of Transportation & Highways to undertake detailed intersection design for the Fremont leg of the Fremoat/ Lougheed intersection. That the City of Port Coquitlam adopt a future road pattern that includes a parallel road to Mary Hill Bypass between Kingsway Avenue and Broadway; and Kebet Way extended east to Kingswav (Hwys Figure 3.6) That the City Engineer write tc Mr. Jost Schiller and Mr. Murray Braaten of Lando & Company, advising of Councils decision on the matter of making Coast Meridian Road into a cul-de-sac North of Mary Hill By-Pass. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: The Ministry of Transportation & Highways commissioned N.D. Lea Consultants Ltd. to complete a functional design study for Mary Hill By-Pass — Broadway Street to Lougheed Highway. The final report was submitted to the Ministry, July 31, 1990 and we received our copy November 1, 1990. Our Project Technician reviewed the report and his summary of important details is attached. The Engineering Department received a letter from Murray Braaten of Lando & Company on behalf of Jost Schiller who ownes land fronting or Coast Meridian near Mary Hill By-Pass.
