BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: The 1978 Fairmont is in need of a complete engine replacement which will cost approximately $1500 minimum. There are other fairly major cost items such as ' brakes, transmission and some electrical work that are also imminent for correction. As this vehicle was expected to he replaced last year, but was not due to budget restraints, a substantial amount of money has already been spent to keep this vehicle roadworthy, yet it will still require substantially more | funds to be spent.
