the Employer will be required to schedule the mectings by canvassing
cach empLoyce concerned in advance in order to identify and thereby
to attempt to avoid those off duty days which would be unduly incon-

venicnt to the employee;

each employee involved in any such scheduling effort will be expected
to co-operate fully in the effort, but will not be subject to discipline
for failure to agree to meet on any day when he has a prior commitment

of a personal nature; ;

nothing contained in this paragraph 11 shall be construed so as to
interfere with the right of the Employer to require an employce to
report for work pursuant to Clause 7 (a) for the purpose of attending

a meeting of an administrative nature or of any other kind, in which
case neither the rate of one and one-half (13) times the regular hourly
rate nor any of the conditions set out in paragraphs (a) to (e) in- ‘
clusive of this paragraph 11, shall apply. ;

Effective the first of the month following ratification of this Memorandun
Of Agreement by both parties, Article V, Section 4, shall be amended by the
addition of a new paragraph reading as follows:

"An employee who is required to work a portion of an extra shift or an extra
shift for the purpose of relieving another employee who has been given a
leave of absence to attend any course of instruction and/or training, shall
be paid at one and one~half (14) times his regular straight time rate of pay.
_Any period of work which immediately follows or immediately precedes a
regular shift will not be subject to any minimum period of compensation. Any
other period of work will be subject to a minimum of three (3) hours at the
rate of one and one-half (14) times the regular straight time rate of paye"

Effective 1980 January 01, Article X, Section 1, (e) shall be amended to read
as follows:

Te] After completion of ten (10) years of continuous service -- twenty-
eight (28) calendar days per year."

Prior to 1980 January 01 the parties will execute a Letter of Understanding
setting out the actual statutory holidays which are to be observed, to a
maximum of eleven (11) duty shifts, in any calendar year beginning January ol,
all as provided for in Article X, Section 2.

Effective 1979 October 01 —- the Dental Service Plan shall be amended to
provide the following coverage: ;

[a] [3] Basic Dental Coverage (Plan "A") providing for
80% of the prescribed schedule of fees.

Prosthetics, crowns and bridges (Plan "B")
providing for 50% of the prescribed schedule

of fees.

Orthodontics (Plan "C") providing for $0% of
the prescribed schedule of fees up to the
maximum permitted by the carrier.

Effective 1980 January 01 — Basic Dental Coverage (Plan "A")
will be further amended to provide for 90% of the prescribed
schedule of fees.
