Canada, we heard, has taken a leadership role in much needed efforts to reach thou- sands of Hutus on (heir way from Zaire into Rwanda. This ongoing mission of compassion will provide those religees with food and medi- cal assistance. We all applaud this. at- tempted Canadian initiative and we -hope that present rescuc:cfforts will prevent large: scale disease and starvation. We also pray: that Mr, Chretien’s peace negotiations will result in lasting peace be- tween the warring parties, as we continue to pray for peace in the Middle-East. Meanwhile we have cnutered another im- portant church season, called Advent.
