Diabetics wha have visual dif- ficulty and cannot see well enough to draw up their own in- sulin, can receive a weekly visit by the Home Care Nurse, who will test their blood sugar and preload their syringes for a week. These syringes are kept in the fridge and are ready for the per- son to use at the appropriate times, This visit is also an opportunity for assessment of the patient’s general health, teaching, and dis- cussion of any concerns the per- son may have.
