Tonee Sabine of Terrace Little Theatre received the final cheque of a Lot-
terles grant from MLA Dave Parker last week. Sabine said the grant was used
to repair and upgrade the Little Theatre bullding following the fallure of the
heating systern and subsequent freeze-up of the water system last winter.
She sald the bullding now has a new heating system with two furnaces, new
plumbing and drywall, and roof rapalrs have been completed. Sabine sald
the TLT Is stili working on the problem of the poles in front of the stage and
upgrading the lighting and sound system. .

bers of the Terrace Little
Theatre company are basking in
the warmth of some well-deserv-

Producer Marilyn Kerr re-
ports that the three perform-
ances staged on Friday and Sat-
urday were packed, with some
people being turned away for the

ing reflected Dave Battison’s
professional theatrical
background with their image-
creating simplicity, and the
costumes by: Rose-Lynn Fleury
could have served any profes-
sional company well, but the re-
mainder of the group are
amateurs in the truest sense

-people who do it for the love of |

theater, and that commitment
becomes more apparent with

each production by this aston-

The Terrace Community -
Band, directed by Jim Ryan,
deserve special mention for their
work - reports indicate the fin-
ished score arrived only three
days before the play opened.

If the success at the gate of
‘*Heavens to Betsy’’ has put a
bit of lining in the Terrace Little
Theatre coffers, perhaps we can
hope now for something a bit
more serious and bit more ad-
venturous during the balance of
this year’s concert season.
