RECOMMENDATION s

THAT the Fraser River Harbour Commission be informed that the City has no
objections to the applications by Forrest Marine Limited to repair an existing
pile wall and to re~configure three Fisherman's Permit Areas. (FREMP Projects.
9207-00813; 0082; 0084 and 0085)

BACKGROUND:

The City recently received four referrals from the Fraser River Harbour

Commission pertaining to Forrest Marine Limited, located at 1101 Pitt River
Road.

This referrals are designed to allow the City to comment on whether or not.
the proposals within the area of jurisdiction of FREMP may conflict with the
City's existing or proposed use of the lands above the high water line.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

One of the referrals is a request for approval to replace a pile wall and
dolphins as necessary, and to reconstruct a deck above the wall. The purpose
of this construction is to replace rotting structures. Some dredging within
the foreshore lease area is also proposed in order to improve fish boat access.

The other three referrals are for amendments to three Fisherman Permit
Area configurations. The attached drawings show the new permit area...

The application to re~configure Fisherman Permit Area No. 2 also includes
a request for approval of proposed plans to repair an existing pile wall and
to repair existing rip. rap.
