14. The Beer & Wine Store is
"the culmination of ail of our

J expansion," says co-owner Fred

Kovits. Brothers Fred Kovits
and Norm Zloklikovits have

owned the Skeena Hotel since

1974. They recently completed
redecorating Cheers restaurant,
the Skeena Pub and the exterior
of the Skeena Hotel.

Fred now lives in Vernon;
Norm is the on-site manager of
the Skeena Hotel and Bob Bee,
a resident of Terrace since
1974, is the new manager of
the Skeena Beer & Wine Store.

Construction of the Beer &
Wine Store was begun in April
of this year by Norcan Con-
struction, a relatively new con-
tracting firm in Terrace with
head offices in Prince George.
Fred says ninety percent of the
subcontractors were local and

the majority of materials.were:

bought locally. .

The new Beer & Wine Store
will be open 9 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Monday through Saturday and
11 to 11 on Sundays, year-
round except Christmas and
New Year’s Days. It carries a

variety of local and imported

beers, wines,.ciders and coolers,
as well as an atray of
sportswear, mixes and snacks.
