The secretary:treasurer _ presented a statement showing that voluntary contributions of $882 had been received during the year. Of this amount $553 had been expended in sending necessities and comforts, to. our men at the front, and'$250 had been set aside as the nucleus of an emergency ‘fund. ' The committee had beén able to get in touch with practically all the men who enlisted in this district, and every effort was_-be- ing made ta maintain eommuni- cation with them. Soldiers who had returned to the district. had expressed their satisfaction with their treatment at the hands of the committee, The following committee was elected for the ensuing year: Chairman,A.
