Recommendation:

It is recommended that Erin Murphy be authorized to attend the
"Therapeutic Recreation Education Workshop " and that related
expenses be funded by the City of Port Coquitlam.

Purpose/Problem:

The purpose of this report is to provide information and a recommendation
regarding a request received from one of our staff to attend the “Therapeutic
Recreation Education Workshop”. .

Background Information:

“Attached is the program outline for the "Therapeutic Recreation Education
Workshop" being held in Vancouver on February 27, 1993. This conference
addresses many issues related to working with special populations and is
directly related to Erin’s responsibilities with the City.

Total cost of attending this conference is estimated to be under $50.00 and
funds are available in the 1993 budget.
