SUBJECT: Request for Catch Basin - 2871 Coast Meridian Road
(Public Works Committee Meeting of July 30, 1991)

That the City of Port Coquitlam approve the installation of a catch basin in the road
Right-of-way at the entrance to the driveway at the north property line of 2871 Coast
Meridian [Load at an estimated cost of $1,500. .

That $1,500 be allocated from the Public Works Special Reserve Fund for this purpose.

The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Project Technician
regarding a request from Mr. Peter Billick of 2871 Coast Meridian Road for the installation of a
catch basin to correct a drainage problem on the north side of his property.

The Public Works Committee noted that Westminster Avenue was reconstructed and raised in
elevation in 1980. The City installed catch basins in the boulevards where drainage problems
had occurred as a result of the construction. As Mr. Billick is experiencing flooding problems,
and as the reconstruction of Westminster in 1980 changed the drainage in the area, the
Committee recommends that a catch basin be installed in the road Right-of-way in the north side
of 2871 Coast Meridian Road, at an estimated cost of $1,500.
