June 25, 1990/164 Underground Structure: Means a building or 4 portion of a building that is lower than finished grade and at n0 point is higher than 0.6 metres from finished grade. For the purpose of defining an underground structure, the finished grade of a tot shall not have a slope exceeding twenty percent, within five meters (16 feet) of the underground structure. Finished Grade: Means the average fintshed ground elevation on 4 lot. It is further recommended that "Part V- Supplementary Regulations” of the "Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1987, 2240" be amended as follows: Chapter 502, (3) (d) to read: An underground structure may be sited in any portion of a iot, providing that any portions of an underground structure higher than finished grade must be setback not less than 1,2 metres from any property line. It is further recommended that, in view of the comprehensive nature of the proposed amendments, the municipal solicitors be requested to draft the appropriate implement ing by~law(s).
