Conservation Foundation - Public Awareness Symbols ~ Environmental Protection Committee Meeting of February 12, 1987 Recommendation: Te That the 8.C. Conservation Foundation be permitted to paint yeliow fish symbols beside catch basins that discharge into fish=bearing waters. Background and Comments: The Committee discussed the letter dated January 27, 1987 which was forwarded by Mr. Robert Moody of the B.C. Conservation Foundation on this subject (copy attached). The Committee supports this proposal to paint fish symbols beside catch basins that drain into fish-bearing watercourses provided that the City be Indemnified for al! claims which may arise as a result of thelr activities. The Committee invited Mr. Tony Barnard, Project Biologist for the Conservation Foundation to make a brief slide presentation to Council and to answer any further questions which Council may have on this proposal. cSt meee ATL TeM.
