THE CORPORATION GF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM Re: P.W.C. -3- -, Sept 10, 1981 On both sides of the street throughout -the day. It appears that these parked cars are an annoyance to the residents since they. do not actually obstruct the traffic. Kitchener is wide enougn to allow cars parked on both Sides and still provide room for two lanes of traffic. The only place where these parked vehicles may create a problem is close to the intersection where it is desirable to have more width on the approach lanes. The Comm: ttee recommends that "No Parking at Any Time" signs be posted on the north side of Kitchener fron Westwood Street to 30 meters east. ITEM V Re: Petition - Four-way Stop at Vincent and Manning ‘She Committee received a petition to Councii for a four-way stop at Vincent and Manning. This intersection is not considered to have a problem having had only two recorded accidents in the last three years. Under our normal policy the intersection would . not qualify for even a two-way stop. Therefore, the Committee recommends that the request for a four-way stop be denied. ITEM VI Re: Stop signs at Cedar and Victoria Drive A new intersecti ve where the City recently ins »@w Crossing of the Cedar ditch. Victoria Drive is a collector street and the visibility at this intersection is poor because of the curve. The Committee recommends that Stop Signs be installe leading from Huber Drive an i i i ict For this recommendation to be implemented the District will also have to give approval.
