August 27th, 1979. 4 regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam “Hall, , 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on August 27th, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, Mabbett, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, Assistant City Engineer L. Melnechenko, P. Eng., Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, City Planner L. Lee, Senior Building Inspector N. Chernoff, and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Public Hearing: His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell advised the meeting the following B/L #1693 - City of. Pt.Coq. } proposed By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitiam Zoning By-law, Zoning B/L, : 1979, No. 1651, : Amend. B/L, 1979. (2270 Lougheed Hwy.) 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. By-law No. 1693: To remove the Zone Designation of CS-2 assigned to Lot 43, Block 5, District Lot 464, Group One, Plan 21271, New Westminster District, and to assign the Zone Designation of C-2 to the said property. The City Planner then explained the proposed rezoning stating that the property is located at 2270 Lougheed Highway, at the corner of Lougheed Highway and Shaughnessy Street known as the "old Texaco Service Station Site". The property is being rezoned to permit the establishment of a Photographic Studio thereon. The City Planner further stated access would be from the’ lane: behind the shopping ‘centre or an access crossing the parking lot. No one spoke on the proposed rezoning. Public Info.
