The Parks and Recreation Committee met on Thursday, September 26th,
1974, at 1:30 P.M. Present were Alderman George Laking, Chairman;
Alderman Len Traboulay, Co-chairman; City Engineer Vince Borch,

P. Eng.e, and Janna Taylor, Recreation Director.

ITEM I: SKATE-A-THON

COMMENTS

The Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic Association have planned their
second annual Skate-A-Thon for October 19th and 20th, 1974. The
event will mainly use Minor Hockey ice time. However, they will
need the public skating session on Saturday, October 19th, from
22:15 P.M. to 4:15 P.M., and the public skating session on Sunday,
October 20th, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:45 P.M. They will also require
the use of the Mabbett Room for October 19th and 20th. .

RECOMMENDATION

The Parks and Recreation Committee recommend that the Port Coquit~
lam Amateur Athletic Association be granted the above request...
