concern regarding City employees going in pairs
to purchase small items from local merchants.
Alderman Wright requested that Council be
informed when a tender over $10,000.00 is
awarded. Alderman Wright requested that the
word “specification” be added after the word
“quality” in Section 2 and the following
amendment was proposed:

That the word “specification” be added
after the word “quality” in Section 2.
Carried.
Alderman Gates suggested that the section
regarding purchases between $10,000. and
$50,000. be deleted and that the last section
be changed from $50,000. to $10,000.

Moved by Alderman Gates:

Seconded by Alderman Muldoon:

That on Page 2 the section regarding
purchases between $10,000. and $50,000. be
deleted and that the "Tenders" section be
changed from referring to $50,000. to referring
to $10,000.

Aldermen Gates and Muldoon voted in
favour of the resolution.

Alderman Muldoon referred to purchasing on
a group basis and Mayor Traboulay asked the City
Treasurer to provide a list of the present
merchandise bought on a group basis.

The question was then called on the
resolution as amended:
