As Council members are aware, proceedings are currently underway that, if successfully completed, would permit the development of a 2l-unit townhouse complex at the southwest corner of Shaughnessy Street and Pite River Road. At the July 13th, 1981 Council meeting a report from the Planning and zoning Committee recommending approval of the application and its advancement to Public Hearing was adopted and one of the requirements Proposed by the Committee was the closure and purchase of a4 section of Irvine Avenue and adjacent City owned land by the Developer. Taking into account Road and Shaughnessy Street chat will be required by the Approving Officer the net return to the City wiil be $237,768.00; subject, of course, to revision based on the detailed surveyor's plans that will be required, Attached to this memorandum are one dealing with the road closure, eadings; and the other dealing for first two readings.
