‘The 1980 budget by-laws have been prepared and I should point
out the following:

BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS

Fire Pretection Improved fire protection with the addition of
six to the Fire Dept. staff as well as the
committment to the purchase of an additional
fire truck,

Drainage Construction of two new storm drainage pumping

stations. |
Commencement of an improved ditch maintenance

program.

Road Construction ~ Reconstruction of Kingsway from Kelly to Willson.
Pave Cedar Drive from Essex to Prairie.
» Install storm sewer & sidewalk on Prairie between
Cedar and Newberry.

Recreation Upgrade Evergreen playing field.
. Add softball diamond to Thompson Park.
Develope Imperial Park.

The ‘average’ residential tax bill will be affected in the following
