ETTERS TO THE TERRACE STANDARD | - People affected if it closes _ Keep tree nursery open Dear Sir: In December 1993 the Terrace branch of Pacific Regeneration Technologies Inc. (silviculture nursery) will be closed. This closure means the loss of jabs for approximately 50. full and part- time employces. . That. invelves approximately $600, 000. in lost: wages and reyenue to this community. This figure does not include about $90,000 being spent indirectly in the commuity eg. taxes, water, natural gas, repairs and maintenance, etc. The economy of Terrace and the surrounding area is heavily dependent on the logging indus- try.
