Total Damages - Approximately $17,300

$15,000 damage to a home when fire burned the rear veranda and storage area
below. This fire is under investigation by R.C.M.P. $10.00 damage to a home
‘when a man was using a flammable liquid to start his fireplace. He carried
the burning container out the front door igniting shrubs and the outside of
the house. Little or no damage resulted from the other 5 house fires which
consisted of 2 kitchen ranges, 1 refrigerator, outside shrubs near house and
chesterfield fire (lighted cigarette).

$1,000 damage to a pickup truck that. hit curb at Coquitlam bridge,overturned
and caught fire. The lone occupant was badly burned and taken to hospital; ..
no damage in the other car fire. 5 alarms ringing, one was a burglar alarm

in an industrial plant and the other 4 were in schools, two mischievous and

two malfunctions due to power outage. 6 nuisance calis consisting of paper

1it on fire in the middle of the street, paper shacks and paper boxes, park
bench and a prominent local citzen illegally burning papers in his back yard.
No structural damage to industrial fires, the undetermined damage was to.the — .
material manufactured which was lost in the processing machines (Macro). ,

40 Inhalator calls, 20 home emergencies consisting of heart attacks, strokes,
asthmatic attack, falls causing injuries, epileptic seizure and a child fell.
8 motor vehicle accidents, 2 separate fights at parties, 2 sport accidents

-and 4 overdoses. 4 Industrial accidents, 2 workers lost fingers in separate
accidents, one burned in a machine fire and a worker crushed between a fork

lift and a truc«.
