September 27th, 1976 each of the following team members with a scroll tribute and civic pin: Gary Carosella Brad Graham Ken Beaune Scott Graham Merv Mackey Blaine Lavalley Mare Nadasdi Shawn Ringrose Daryl Conner Warren Terry Bill Falk Mike Ursan and Coach Gerald Conner received a shield plaque on behalf of the team in tribute to their achievement, “PoCo Strikers~ Alderman Keryluk then advised that the Port Coquitlam Strikers - Int.A Girls Soccer Champs provincial Intermediate "A" Girls Soccer Champions - represent the best in British Columbia - commenting that they have worked hard in getting to the very top in a period of only 2 years, and he then presented each of the following team members with a scroll tribute and civic pin: Karen Ballard Shelley Bracken Cindy Dawson Shari Demos Kathy Fitzpatrick Theresa Heiling Shirley Kaufman Caryn Kerr Rhonda Shotls Tracey Smith Faith Sonmor Mary-Ann Stewart Sylvia Verkerk Mary~Ann Walz and Assistant Coach Richard Demos received a shield plaque on behalf of the team in tribute to their achievement. -2893 Seaforth Alderman Mabbett then stated it was his privilege to make a presentation Army Cadets- to the 2893 Seaforth Army Cadets for being given the Strathcona Trust Award which is for the Cadet Corps making the most significant advancement in Corps standings at the end of the training year, and he advised that the year prior to winning the award, the Corps was 7th from the bottom of a list of 43 and are now 7th from the top. The Commanding Officer, Captain C.L. Gordon, received from Alderman Mabbett, a shield plaque on behalf of the Corps in tribute to its acheivement and Captain Gordon, along with the two Cadets who were in attendance also received civic pins as personal momentos.
