City Administrator suggests that Council may wish to consider approval
of the request on the basis of giving the Fire Chief authority to issue
a permit for a day's burning from time to time during a fixed period,
rather than for a blanket permit as requested by the Club.

Seconded by Alderman Laking:
That the application for burning permit from the PoCo Valley Golf
Club be approved on the basis outlined by the City Administrator in his Memorandum

of January 9th, 1976.
Carried.

Aldermen Ranger and Traboulay voted against the resolution.
In speaking against the resolution, Alderman Traboulay expressed
the opinion that such burning, in the Agricultural zone, could be accomplished
during the Spring and Fall Clean-up periods.

week.

Prior tc passage of the above-noted resolution, Alderman Thompson
advised that ue had been made aware of a problem between a resident of
the ar2a and Nu-West Development Corporation Ltd.'s contractor and

wanted time for a further investigation of the complaint prior to making

a decision.

by the Council December 2nd, 1975 the subject had been referred to the
City's Solicitor for a draft of the appropriate wording for the By-law.
The City Clerk suggested that if Council found the wording acceptable
the draft could be referred to the two manufacturers of modular homes
who appeared before the Council, t.e. Mariner Homes Ltd. and F.G. Fowler

and Associates for their infomation and comments.
