SUBJECT: Aerial Application of Funginex - Blueberry Crops.

RECOMMENDATION:

That if Council are desircus of hearing representations with respect to
the above noted matter that the following resolution be considered:

"That the following resolution, passed by this Council at its special
meeting held on Monday, March 8th, 1982:

"That the request received from the Society Promoting Environmental
Conservation to re-discuss the Council's recent decision to permit the
aerial application of funginex on blueberry crops in the City be refused.'

be rescinded;

AND THAT representatives of all groups in attendance at the Council
meeting this evening that wish to address Council on this subject be now

heard."

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

Attached to this memorandum is all the material that was presented to

the Council at its meeting of March lst, 1982 concerning the above noted
subject and as Council members are aware the suggested resolution respecting
low flying aircraft was passed by the Council at that time. ;

The Society Promotion Environmental Conservation has been advised that
this matter would be considered this evening and this memorandum can be
considered to be a request from SPEC to address the Council on this
subject. Additionally, we would suggest that Council hear, at this
time, any other individuals or groups that wish to address Council on
this subject even if they have not submitted a formal request to be

placed on the Agenda.
