_A By-law to authorize the acquisition by the City of Stucutory

“rights—of-way over real property.
WHEREAS it is convenient, necessary, and in the best interests of
the Corporation of tha City of Port Coquitlam to acquire from time to time

statutory rights-of-way over real property in the City for various municipal

purposes;

AND WHEREAS such statutory rights-of-way are usually acquired by
the City for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) each; ,

AND WHEREAS it is necessary for the Municipal Council to authorize
the signing of Agreements by the Mayor and City Clerk and to authorize the
affixing of the Corporate Seal thereto in order to acquire such a statutory

rights-of-way;

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Counctl of The Corporation of the City

‘of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts“as‘follows:

1. ” The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to acquire on
behalf of the City such statutory rights-of-way over real properry as may
be required by the City from time to time for municipal purposes at or for
& sum not to exceed One Dollar ($1.00) for each such statutory right-of-way.
Z. Each statutory right-of-way aforesaid shall be acquired by way of
an Agreement in the form annexed to thi’s By-law as Schedule "A",

3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sigti such
Agreements on behalf of the City and to affix the Corporate Seal thereto.

4. The "Right-of-way Acquisition Authorization By-law, 196%, No. 919",

and all amendments thereto, are repealed,

5. This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the "Statutory Right~

of-Way Acquisition Authorization By-law, 1980, No. 1726".
