THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM Hr. L.D. Pollock May 18,.1972 Chief Administrative Officer ; 2272 McAllister Avenue Port Coquitlam, B.C. Dear Sir: Re: VANDALISM TO POCO TRAIL On Wednesday May 17, 1972 a meeting was held at the City Hall regarding the damage to the Poco Trail. At the meeting were Mr. H. Routley and Mr. D. Cank, Cpl. Brookbank and The Writer. ‘The purpose of the meeting was to ascertain the best method of Policing Poco Trail; and the best possible method was suggested by Cpl. Brookbank that the City place a notice in the three major newspapers stating that a $100,00 re- ward would be given to anyone furnishing information ieading up to the arrest and conviction of persons or person found damaging any parts or part of the pro=- perty of the area known as FOCO TRAIL, and that signs also be posted showing that fines will be imposed should anyone be found damaging the property along the trail. . All present at the meeting agreed with the suggestion, however, police and the writer will be keeping an eye on the troubled area where damage has occ~ urred to date, Please inform the persons who attended the meeting if this suggestion will be followed up or perhaps the City Council and: yourself may have other ideas as to what could be done to stop unscrupulous tactics of the persons res- ponsible, Respectfully Submitted, RGC/jb | 4E ese By=Law Enforcement Officer
