f ri THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM TO: [, Zahynacz DATE: July 7, 1992 City Engineer FROM: R.G. Criggie Chief Licence Inspector & loxser = BP Bylaw Enforcement Officer RE: Parking on Woodland Drive (3534 Woodland Drive) BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: A complaint was received that vehicles are parking on both sides of Woodland Drive in front of the newly constructed Tamarack Terrace apartments at 3534 Woodland Drive, making it difficult for other traffic to pass due to the width of this section of Woodland Drive between Patricia Avenue and the intersection to Westwood Street. RECOMMENDATIONS: I would recommend that "No Parking" signs be posted on the west side of Woodland Drive from Patricia Avenue to the stop sign at the intersection of Westwood Street. By placing this restriction, we would allow a better traffic flow in the area, The paved lane and entrance to the underground parking area require two "No Parking" signs. Tenants are parking in the lane and although the Traffic Bylaw 1117 does not permit parking in any lane, this lane is rnore like a parking lot than a lane. Placing these two signs would make enforcement more effective. 3, The Traffic Bylaw No. 1117 should be amended to incorporate these changes. For your information and action.
