Freeman, City Clerk March 14th, 1988. If Council sees fit to accept our clients’ offer in open meeting this evening, we would understand this matter may be able to be resolved with the registration deadline of March 18th, 1988. We would understand that if Council does not see fit to accept our clients’ offer in open meeting, the matter may be dealt with in Committee, and we have recommended to Mr. Faurschow that he be present at the open meeting, and available for any comments or enquiries of Council meeting in Committee, if necessary. If it is necessary that Council deal with this matter in Committee this evening, tI am wondering if there is any possible way in which this matter may be concluded without the necessit; ef dealing with it again at the regular Council meeting ia of March 21st, 1988. I am not in any way suggesting ee that Council not comply with its procedural requirements in matters of this kind, however, I question whether there is any possibility of a combination of a resolution of Council in open meeting and Council dealing with this issue in Committee which might see this matter finally resolved. I trust you find all of the foregoing to be in order and thank you for your anticipated co-operation in this matter. Yours very truly, TAYLOR , BARDAL & DORCHESTER “a Lod fi Lhecle€ Brian P.
