That the "No U-Turn! signs on Shaughnessy Street between Pitt River

Road and Wilson Avenue be removed.
Deteated.

From the City Engineer, October 14th, 1986 regarding amendment to

traffic bylaw.

Moved by Alderman Gates: a
Seconded by Afderman Stewart:

That Division 3 of Bylaw 1117 be retitled "Control of Trattic.and
Signs" and the following provisions added: ms

306. No person shal! erect or maintain a sign or advertisement on or over
a highway other than an arterial highway by any means, including
placement, atfixation or maintenance of a sign on top of a vehicle
parked or stopped on a highway, or

Any sign erected or maintained contrary to Section 306 of this Bylaw
may be altered, repainted, torn down or removed by the City Engineer
or a Bylaw Enforcement Officer, without compensation to any person
for any loss or damage which results,

Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution

to the Public Works Committee for study and report.
