Campbell and Members of Council City of Port Coquitlam, 2272 McAliister Avenue Port Coquitlam, B.C. Your Worship and Members of Council: Re: Mary Hill By-pass We are enclosing For your information, a copy of our letter to Mr. Fraser, Minister of Highways and Public Works, as well as copies of letters to Messrs. George Kerster, M.L.A. and George Mussallem,M.L.A. There is a growing body of thought urging contact be made with a broad strata of Cabinet and Premier Bennett to assure a high priority for the Mary Hill By-pass and adequate provision in the 1978-79 Highway Estimates. ‘ Due to the shortness of time, it may now be desirable that a special effort be made to draw strong attention to Government of the urgent need and special regional benefits from early completion of the Mary Hill By- pass. Your favourable consideration and a strong regional response may well assure earlier and wider action on the part of Government. From time to time, there have been several suggestions from North Shore Fraser municipalities that regional meetings of the six municipalities in conjuction with representatives of industry take place on a somewhat regular basis. As our last such conference was considered to be highly _ productive, should another such meeting be desirable, we would be pleased to assist. Your guidance and suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your co-operation. Yours very truly, UA Crerae? Victor G. Crossby Secretary Advariced technology and Industrial Leadership measure the Stature of a Nation and the Quality of its People
