stated his opposition to the cost of the fence initially, and for the con-
tinuing need to remove and re-install it after the softball season and prior

to commencement thereof each year.

That the application of Mr. R.L. Thompson to convert his Gulf

Service Station at 1976 Prairie Avenue to a "self serve station with
bays" deferred for one week earlier this evening, be deferred one additional
week, specifically to Monday, February 7th, 1977. Carried.
Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, members of Council
generally agreed to the suggestion of Alderman Ranger that representatives
of the Automotive Retailers Association and local merchants, through the
office of the City Clerk, be invited to the February 7th, 1977 meeting.
