Alderman Ranger noted that the Report for May/76 From the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, June Ist, 1976 being the question of overtime billing would be dealt with under the Finance Committee Report. Alderman Thompson queried the results of a previous request to investigate alternative methods of providing less expensive meals for prisoners and was advised that there was no further information available at this time. Acting-Mayor Alderman Traboulay suggested that the question of prisoner's meals and R.C.M.P. Overtime payments be deferred until Mayor Campbell returns to the City and has an opportunity to discuss the matter further with Inspector Young. The report was then received for information. From the B.C. Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, SPCA - May report on Pound Operation June lst, 1976 being the May, 1976 Report on Pound Operations. Acting- Mayor Alderman Traboulay advised that attempts were being made to pinpoint the trouble spots throughout the City and requested that any of the Aldermen receiving complaints of this nature, contact the S.P.C.A. and advise them of the location of the complaint so that additional patrols of the area can be carried out. Alderman Thompson noted that the official opening of the new low cost spay and neuter clinic will be held on July 10th, 1976 at 10:00 a.m. and the report was then received for information. George with the delegation regarding the Hastings Street school access problen, however, a brief discussion ensued at this time during which it was noted that as of late there appears to be no 'follow-up' correspondence
