Approximately §3,000 damage to a room caused when the tenant left leaving an electric kettle plugged in and on an upholstered chair. The fire was contained to the one room and extinquished by the hotel sprinkler system. $1,500 damage to the exterior of the building started by a workman's torch. Approximately $50 damage to each of the 3 motor vehicles. : ; 57 dnhalator calls. 29 home emergencies, consisting of heart attacks, diabetic shock, leukemia, scalding, falls causing injuries, person bit py a dog and a pregnant lady in difficulties. 9 motor vehicle accidents, 4 overdoses and 3 over~indulgence in alcoholic beverages. Attended a ball player who sustained a broken ankle, a swimmer. who was cut, a boy who had cut off two fingers with a power saw. We had four calls during May Day Ceremonies, three during the parade. Contrary to what was published in the paper the crews had no difficulty getting through and two had to go through the underpass. If one could call it a problem, there was a number of cars blocking the lane at the Wilson Avenue tennis courts.
